Air Traffic Control Specialist

As Certified Air Traffic Control Specialist, actively support U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard mission of securely controlling air traffic in full compliance with USAF, ANG and FFA standards/ regulations.  Proficiently direct aircraft movement in flight and on the ground using pilot and controller reports, visual observation, radar displays, and combined methods through efficient collaboration with peers.  Efficiently manage restrictive time and space limitations and formulate/issue clearances and instructions for traffic within defined airspace.  Strategically adjust flight paths, assign arrival/departure routes and facilitate altitude assignments for safe, expedient traffic flow.  Ensure provision of effective special services supporting aircraft in in-flight emergency/hazardous situations.  Monitor and respond to normal and special surface weather information for prompt response.

Comprehensively document information related to aircraft, incidents, weather, etc. Maintain automated communications and display hardware/software systems critical to air traffic control facility operations.
