Environmental Scientist

         Worked collaboratively in extreme outdoor conditions and rugged terrain to determine wetlands by identifying vegetative species, soil type and color, saturation, and water depth.

         Prepared numerous maps (topographic, geologic, aerial, site, flood plains) as well as GIS maps of wetlands using Rhino 120 GPS unit and Trimble unit.

         Collaboratively conducted stream sedimentation surveys to assess erosion and devise prevention plans.

         Completed Threatened and Endangered Species surveys which included Nicrophorous americanus (American Burying Beetle) and developed extensive reports.

         Actively participated in completing cryptic bird surveys in forest of Little River National Wildlife Refuge to identify birds by sight and sound, utilizing song playback with mist netting to capture and band the Swainson s Warbler.
