  Main responsibilities include comprehensive maintenance of availability and reliability of all Transport Network Elements such as FUJITSU SONET / DWDM Equipment. Specific functions include

  Maintain total availability and reliability of all associated Power Plant and associated Alarm Telemetry equipment deployed in any type of Central Offices.

  Utilize test sets such as ACTERNA, 2310 and ACTERNA 2510 for SONET/DWDM Testing, JDSU 8000, ACTERNA DA3400 and ACTERNA 2802 for Ethernet Testing, EXFO Power Meters and EXFO Fiber Video Scopes for fiber cable diagnostics.

  Coordinate provisioning requirements including equipment installations and plug-ins for Network Growth and responsible for completion of in-house wiring tasks for new circuit turn-ups. 

  Provide NOC Provisioners with first-hand information about wiring flow or path and equipment locations for database integrity.

  Provide Engineers logistical support for future projects in any type of Central Offices.

  Act as integral part of the Integration team organizing merger of Verizon and MCI applications such as trouble ticketing system, network spares management, Methods of Procedures, new circuit pack installations and technician dispatches.
